Top 5 Reasons I Quit My 6-Figure Job to Become a Full-Time Content Creator

Here are the top five reasons why I just quit my 6-figure job to become a full-time content creator and stay-at-home dog dad. I’m calling it my retirement. I'm Tyler, a former financial advisor and portfolio manager, and now I create financial content for free so you don’t have to pay for it.

1. Redefining Work Hours

I was done pretending that we actually need 40 to 60 hours a week to meet most of our work objectives. The amount of hours and brain cells I wasted over the last 20 years—staring at a computer screen pretending to do something, endlessly clicking refresh on my email, or sitting through meetings with the wrong people talking about the wrong problems. I wasn’t good at pretending in those; I was always the eye-roll guy.

2. Pursuing My Passion

Every single one of those hours could be devoted to pursuing my dreams, goals, and passions. How many more hours are we going to collectively waste wondering what is out there on the other side?

3. Freedom of Creativity

Embracing my creative side has been liberating. I can express myself fully and share valuable knowledge without the constraints of a corporate environment.

4. Lifestyle Flexibility

Being a stay-at-home dog dad means I have more time to spend with my furry friends, creating a lifestyle that removes stress and enhances my well-being.

5. Embracing Uncertainty

Choosing to leave a stable job for a less certain future may seem risky, but it brings incredible potential for growth and satisfaction. If any of this is helpful, like and follow, and I'll keep trying to get you one step closer to where you need to be. Remember, being unemployed can also mean being free to explore your potential!
