Son, did you open that Roth IRA like I told you to?
Nope.
And why not?
Because I opened a traditional IRA instead.
We've been over all the benefits of the Roth IRA.
Yup, but I wanted a tax advantage now.
Because I make $45,000 a year at my job, if I put $6,000 of that into a traditional IRA, I get to deduct $6,000 of that from my taxable income. That way, I make under $40,400 a year and pay 0% capital gains taxes.
You're learning, son. I just followSocial Cap like you told me. He makes complex finance seem easy.
