The One Thing I Wish I Knew About Investing at 18 Years Old

I'm Tyler, a former financial advisor and portfolio manager, and now I create financial content for free, so you don't have to pay for it.

If you had told me when I was 18 years old that all I had to do was put $2,000 in a brokerage account,

invest that $2,000 in low-cost index funds, fund that account with an additional $1,000 a month for the next 22 years,

then reallocate that money to stable dividend-paying stocks when I turned 40,

that not only could I have over a million bucks at my current age,

but I could have had a true passive income of $50,000 to $60,000 a year for the rest of my life without lifting a finger.

Yeah, I probably wouldn't have listened to a damn thing you said and would have spent it all at the bars.
