3 Aggressive Investment Strategies for Midlife Investors

If I were in my 40s or 50s and needed to invest a half million dollars incredibly aggressively just to get the retirement I hoped for, here are the three things I would do. I'm Tyler, a former financial advisor and portfolio manager, and I make financial content for free so you don't have to pay for it.

1. High-Risk Stock Investments

I would invest 60% to 70% of my assets in high-risk, high-reward stocks or index funds. These stocks would represent higher-risk sectors like technology, biotech, and emerging markets. Additionally, I would ensure that at least 10% of this component was allocated to small-cap stocks to take advantage of their massive future growth potential.

2. International and Emerging Markets

I would then invest 20% to 30% of my assets in international and emerging markets. This means exposure to developed markets like Europe and Japan, as well as emerging markets like China, Brazil, and India. I would achieve this through ETFs such as FTSE's emerging markets or iShares MSCI emerging markets.

3. Crypto and Alternative Investments

If I really needed to be super aggressive, I would invest 10% to 20% in crypto and alternative investments. For crypto, I’d focus primarily on Bitcoin and Ethereum. For alternative investments, I’d explore options like real estate crowdfunding or peer-to-peer lending.

Again, it's important to note that all of this is very high-risk. If any of this information is helpful, please like and follow, and I'll continue sharing insights to help you get one step closer to your financial goals.
